We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Compass Group USA. Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Train employees, plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance, reward, and discipline associates; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Advise management of purchasing requirements, focusing on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
- Operate and clean equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy; maintain established food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Operate food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
- Help serve meals; remain present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures; ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
