Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Supervisor to join our team at Loews Hotels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the culinary department, ensuring efficient operation and delivery of high-quality products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Departmental Management
    • Establish and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines
    • Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities to ensure smooth operation
    • Manage inventory control, labor management, and cost control
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of culinary staff to achieve high standards of quality and service
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to staff
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain high standards
    • Implement corrective actions to address any quality or safety issues
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless operation
    • Collaborate with the culinary management team to achieve departmental goals
    • Provide excellent customer service to guests and colleagues
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Associate of Science degree or higher in Hospitality or Food Service Management
    • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a hotel or free-standing restaurant
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Thorough knowledge of food service operations and management
    • Effective leadership, organizational, and communication skills
    • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education
    • Associate of Science degree or higher in Hospitality or Food Service Management
  • Experience
    • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a hotel or free-standing restaurant
