We are looking for an Intermediate Water Resource Engineer to assist in delivering projects related to water resources, water supply planning, and reuse initiatives in Florida.

Your responsibilities will include conducting water resources studies, feasibility assessments for water supply, integrated water supply plans, one water plans and programs, conservation strategies, and water reuse evaluations.

This role will involve performing calculations and analyses of water supplies and demands, executing alternatives analyses, and documenting findings.

Responsibilities:


Utilization of hydraulic, hydrologic, or hydrogeologic modeling systems to support the planning and design of related infrastructure, including pipelines, open channels, pump stations, channel stabilization techniques, rapid infiltration systems, storage and treatment facilities, wellfields, and other natural and engineered systems.


Conducting hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, report preparation, and other tasks necessary to support the planning, design, and integration of water supply and management facilities.


Comprehension and application of water supply planning, demand management, alternatives analysis, and feasibility studies for small to large-scale water supply projects of moderate complexity.

Collaboration with other engineering disciplines, designers, and scientists is essential.

Some travel may be necessary.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.

6-12 years of experience in water resources projects.

Professional engineer license or the ability to obtain one within 12 months.

Experience in the selection and optimization of multi-benefit water supply projects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Capability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations for solving technical challenges.

Ability to present to groups and communicate effectively with clients and project teams.

Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

Preferred

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.


Familiarity with software applications including ArcGIS and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling tools (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, Groundwater Vistas).
