About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our Water group, you will be responsible for designing and evaluating waterway structures, locks, dams, and other water-related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling for evaluating, rehabilitating, or designing new waterway structures, locks, dams, and other water-related projects.
  • Select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures for water resources engineering, using your own judgment to make adaptations and modifications to existing designs.
  • Help prepare construction documents, including plans and specifications, for water resources engineering projects.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff to develop their understanding of water resources engineering analyses, design, and construction.
  • Develop work scopes and technical proposals for hydrologic and hydraulic design aspects of projects.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of practice required.
  • MS Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • FE or PE license in the state where the office is located, or ability to obtain.
  • 2+ years of related experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics, with a keen interest and passion for applying these principles to water resources engineering.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
