Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Yale New Haven Health's Milford Campus. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will perform various duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect patient care activities. Your responsibilities will include obtaining and recording vital signs, performing technical duties and selected treatments, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to address patient needs.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also be able to demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.

Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) training. Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record vital signs as ordered and delegated by the RN
  • Perform technical duties and selected treatments under the direction of the RN
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to address patient needs
  • Participate in receiving patient bedside report at the beginning of each shift and throughout the shift as needed
Qualifications
