Job Summary

As a Patient Care Technician at Yale New Haven Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes to the nursing staff. You will also be responsible for collecting and recording patient data, assisting with patient transfers and mobility, and maintaining a clean and safe patient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
  • Collect and record patient data, including medical history and treatment plans
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility, ensuring safe and efficient movement
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols
  • Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team, ensuring clear and concise information exchange
