Job Title: Quantitative Analytics Tech Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analytics Tech Lead to join our Modeling, Econometrics, Data Science & Analytics Department. The ideal candidate will have subject matter expertise in credit data and a deep understanding of credit reports and raw credit in-files.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of quantitative analytics and modeling projects in support of Freddie Mac's business. This will involve leading modeling and analytical underwriting and credit risk projects using techniques from statistics, machine learning, and deep learning.

Your Impact:

As a Quantitative Analytics Tech Lead, you will act as the subject matter expert (SME) in Credit Bureau data, Consumer Credit Reports, and the different versions of Credit Scores. You will be responsible for conducting analytics and mentoring junior staff in obtaining quantitative insight into mortgage underwriting issues and questions.

You will also develop innovative approaches to applying mortgage, credit bureau, customer permission data, and other third-party data for credit risk evaluation. Additionally, you will provide modeling and analytical support to a line of business or product area, functioning as a day-to-day technical specialist.

Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree (or Master's degree with equivalent work experience) in statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience applying predictive modeling techniques or data analytics to large datasets.
  • 3 years of relevant experience leading model development, model review, or fair lending projects.

Qualifying coursework may include data science, statistics, machine learning, optimization, numerical analysis, scientific programming, computational methods, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, text mining, and image analysis.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $143,000 - $215,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
