Job Overview:

Our organization operates more than 70 treatment facilities across various states, focusing on medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and comprehensive care management for those affected by OUD. We are committed to treating the entire individual, addressing the root causes of OUD, and ensuring a seamless continuum of care that not only meets treatment needs but also supports patients on their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer documentation for patients.
- Document patient progress through counseling sessions and group interactions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and psychosocial assessments within specified timelines.
- Identify clinical and case management needs and work towards addressing them.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling as necessary.
- Engage in direct patient contact through one-on-one or group counseling sessions.
- Report any instances of patient abuse, neglect, or exploitation as required.
- Address patient grievances as needed.
- Educate patients on all aspects of their treatment, health issues, and recovery processes.
- Collect Urine Drug Screens and initial patient identification.
- Monitor patient activities within the treatment center.
- Participate in community relations initiatives as directed.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with the Policy and Procedures Manual.
- Adhere to confidentiality regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain proper licensure and certification as per state requirements.
- Engage in preparation for inspections and surveys conducted by relevant agencies.
- Attend all staff meetings and ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Uphold the best interests of the program and the organization, safeguarding proprietary data and rights.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:
- A minimum of 500 hours of experience in substance abuse counseling is required.

Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and demonstrate reliability.
- Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
