Key Responsibilities:
- Timely acceptance of referrals, conducting screenings, intakes, and follow-ups on missed appointments.
- Establishing and nurturing inter-agency collaborations to enhance community service awareness.
- Connecting identified youth and families to community resources while ensuring all necessary documentation is completed promptly.

- Planning and leading prevention-focused groups for individuals identified as at risk for substance abuse.
- Documenting all activities in accordance with agency policies and submitting progress notes within specified timeframes.
- Adhering to all state and federal confidentiality regulations regarding substance abuse records.
- Completing billing hours reporting in data systems and meeting productivity expectations set by supervisors.
- Developing and delivering training for staff on risk factors associated with substance abuse.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related Human Services field from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Prevention Professional (CPP) is preferred; a Master's Degree is also advantageous.
- Additional education or experience may be required based on specific program guidelines.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong time management and organizational skills to complete tasks within strict deadlines while remaining flexible to address client needs.
- Ability to assess situations quickly and exercise sound judgment in potentially risky scenarios.
- Proficient in following both oral and written instructions and completing tasks as directed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster supportive relationships with clients.
- Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, medical professionals, educational institutions, and the public.
- Knowledge of community resources and current information related to mental health and substance abuse treatment.

Special Requirements:
- Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record, along with proof of personal automobile insurance if required.
- Completion of mandatory background screening prior to employment.
- Participation in required training during the initial months of employment, with updates as necessary.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending and reaching throughout an 8-12 hour workday.
- Capability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for evaluating and addressing client healthcare needs.
- Fine motor skills for accurate documentation and communication.
- Endurance to work 8-12 hour shifts, with varying hours and locations as needed.
