Ultrasound Technologist II PRN Job Summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist II PRN to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and specialized ultrasound procedures, including biopsies and interventional sonograms
  • Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
  • Comply with all safety and infection control guidelines, as well as JCAHO and other regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and/or School of Sonography
  • Current registration/licensure/certification in good standing with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Minimum of one year hospital department experience in medical sonography, including biopsies
  • Ability to accurately complete sonography examinations as ordered by referring physicians
  • Experience with radiology information systems to obtain previous examination reports
  • Ability to correctly and safely operate sonographic equipment and perform invasive procedures
