Position Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all ski and snowboard rental services. Key responsibilities include managing merchandising, financial oversight, supervising sales personnel, and overall store management. This position involves hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling of staff, as well as driving sales growth, managing inventory, controlling expenses, overseeing cash management, and ensuring the store's presentation.

Position Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $23.76 per hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time, including Weekends and Holidays
  • Skill Level: Advanced

Key Responsibilities:

As the Rental Operations Supervisor, you will manage a high-volume seasonal rental operation, including a ski and snowboard repair and tuning center. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all facets of retail and rental operations.
  • Adapting positively to uncertainty and change.
  • Leading a team of up to 50 frontline staff and a leadership team of 5-6.
  • Contributing significantly to our guests' memorable experiences by fostering a strong culture of customer service.

Daily tasks may include:

  • Providing consistent feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members.
  • Promoting professional development for yourself and others.
  • Designing and implementing training plans for new associates from their first day.
  • Ensuring the department is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaborating with other departments to align departmental initiatives.
  • Creating operational plans for special events and holidays.
  • Identifying sales opportunities and formulating plans accordingly.
  • Handling administrative tasks.
  • Managing retail and rental inventory with a focus on cost control.
  • Recruiting staff and processing payroll through a digital platform.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience - required.
  • 2 years of experience in retail or rental - preferred.
  • 2 years of management experience in a resort setting.
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for snow sports.
  • Bachelor's Degree - preferred.

The expected pay range is $23.76 per hour. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
