Position Overview

The Restoration Crew Chief will oversee and collaborate with general labor staff to ensure high-quality output while adhering to deadlines set by the Project Manager (PM) and Assistant Project Manager (APM). This role demands a strong commitment to integrity and teamwork. Candidates with a background in demolition, restoration, or construction will be highly regarded. Experience in disaster recovery is advantageous.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Implement initial cleaning procedures for fire, water, and mold damage, including tasks such as inventory management, packing, and loading/unloading of materials.
  • Achieve project timelines by maintaining or surpassing productivity levels.
  • Support the PM or APM in training general labor personnel during projects.
  • Direct a team by clearly communicating job tasks and expectations.
  • Foster effective communication among team members to cultivate a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations.
  • Punctually report to work as scheduled.
Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience in manual labor is essential.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with a crew of up to 10 individuals.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Prior experience in construction or restoration is beneficial.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory; a current passport is a plus.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (4+ hours).
  • Physical agility to bend, squat, and reach overhead consistently.
  • Capacity to perform repetitive motions, such as cleaning tasks.
  • Willingness to work in high-temperature environments.
  • Ability to work in environments with smoke odors.
  • Proficient in using personal protective equipment specific to job sites, including full-face respirators.
  • Effective reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel for 4-6 hours for job assignments, potentially being away from home for extended periods.
