Job Overview

Lube Technician

Position Summary

This role involves executing maintenance and repair tasks on machinery and components with a focus on high efficiency and quality standards. The individual will be expected to operate independently:

  • Restore and fix all machinery components and systems as directed by the Supervisor
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of workshop tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Engage in professional communication with colleagues
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments as instructed

Primary Responsibilities

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Restore and repair machinery and components
  • Adhere to directives from the supervisor and working foreman in executing repairs and assigned tasks
  • Carry out necessary repairs safely and effectively
  • Guarantee timely completion of all repairs as assigned
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Care for Company tools and equipment:

  • Ensure all tools and specialized equipment used during repairs are cleaned before returning
  • Return all specialty tools to their designated locations in working order
  • Provide all essential hand and diagnostic tools necessary for assigned tasks as specified by the supervisor

Employee Interaction

  • Maintain respectful and honest communication with colleagues, promoting a positive company image
  • Follow communication guidelines as outlined in the company handbook

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull over 70 pounds, safely climb heavy equipment, bend, kneel, and maintain raised arms for extended periods.
  • Possess a technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs; demonstrate a solid understanding of equipment operations and mechanical functions; exhibit strong diagnostic abilities.
  • Deliver quality repairs efficiently within acceptable timeframes.
  • Follow all instructions from the supervisor and working foreman
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Possess a valid TWIC or the ability to obtain one

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs
  • CDL/HAZ certification
