Job Title: AWS Architect

Job Summary:

Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced AWS Architect to join our team. As an AWS Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including security, networking, and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security and governance policies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on cloud-related issues.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in a software development, data engineering, or data analytics field using Python, Scala, Spark, Java, or equivalent technologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Big Data, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar area of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert proficiency in Lambda, Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL programming languages.
  • Expert proficiency in IaC tools, i.e. Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation.
  • Proficiency in software engineering best practices employed in the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a financial institution.
  • Expert-level knowledge of AWS infrastructure configurations and services offering.
  • Expert-level knowledge of data frameworks, data lakes and open-source projects such as Apache Spark, MLflow, and Delta Lake.
