Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect

At Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, we are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-based systems.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud-based systems meet business requirements and are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, security groups, and storage systems.
  • Implement and manage cloud security, compliance, and governance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud-based systems for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.


Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, such as NIST and PCI-DSS.

Work Environment: This position requires working in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, utilizing the telephone and video conferencing 10-20% of the day, and moving, lifting, and/or carrying 30 pounds with or without accommodations.



Required Work Schedule: Standard Monday through Friday business hours with participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation as well as a willingness to work afterhours as needed for upgrades, feature rollouts, etc.



Travel Requirements: This position has the ability to be based virtually, but does require travel to St. Paul, MN for training, company events, project initiatives, and team and department meetings.
