Job Summary:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling corporate products or services through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. The ideal candidate will have experience in remote selling aerospace products into airlines, MROs, and distributors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contacts new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain how these needs can be met by specific Wencor Group products.
- Identifies and targets opportunities and executes sales actions.
- Ensures customers receive prompt, world-class service.
- Monitors quote activity and progression and provides customer updates as needed.
- Pursues both long-term agreements for repairs contracts.
- Assists in achieving and meeting sales goals set jointly with management.
- Answers customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and capabilities.
- Emphasizes product features based on analysis of customer's needs.
- Helps with collections as needed.
- Obtains competitive information and intelligence of responsible accounts.
- Understands contracts and pursues both Purchasing and Development.
- Works closely with Customer Service Representatives.
- Provides information and updates for various sales operation and resource systems.
- Assists sales and product management with reports and data and provides technical information as needed.
- Performs market research on new and existing products.
- Analyzes and responds to Request for Quotes (RFQs) via email or telephone.
- Supports the marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Answers AOG calls on products or services whenever required.
Requirements:
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to summarize data and trends clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to occasional travel to attend sales events or exhibitions.
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and airline MRO.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred but not necessary. Minimum 4-5 years with experience in remote selling aerospace products into airlines, MROs, and distributors.
Language Skills: Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and customers. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to work in high-paced environment where multi-tasking is a must.
