Job Description

At Blue Origin, we are committed to developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. As an Avionics Chief Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the technical integrity and compliance of our spacecraft avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the avionics technical baseline for multiple product lines
  • Drive technical decisions to enable successful design, development, and integration of avionics systems
  • Chair Technical Evaluation Committees and lead resolution of key technical issues
  • Collaborate with Program Chief Engineers to oversee design, development, and integration & test of avionics systems
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience with advanced spacecraft avionics design and development programs
  • Strong experience supporting spacecraft integration & test in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Flight Software (FSW) and wire harness design
  • Strong understanding of various space environments and radiation hardness/tolerance
