Role Responsibilities:
This position involves engaging with affluent clients who generate annual revenues ranging from $100k to $5mm. Key responsibilities include identifying client needs, cultivating relationships, assessing investment objectives, and crafting investment recommendations that align with both current and prospective client goals.

Essential duties include leveraging technology to meet business growth targets, conducting profiling activities to ascertain a client's investment profile and financial aspirations, building a sustainable client portfolio, and providing pathways for advisors to advance their careers within the organization.

This role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees involved in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and maintain good standing. Non-compliance with SAFE Act registration may lead to disciplinary actions, including termination.

Key Duties:
  • Deliver personalized financial advice through client reviews and presentations, evaluating financial objectives and proposing investment strategies.
  • Communicate tailored solutions that best fit clients' financial needs, including core banking and investment services.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisor teams to expand their networks by sharing relevant market insights and discussing new products to enhance portfolio growth.
  • Utilize the extensive resources available across the bank to benefit clients and prospects.
  • Develop and expand a client portfolio to meet and exceed established financial targets, facilitating progression to the next advisor level.
  • Prioritize client inquiries and connect them with appropriate internal service providers based on their needs and asset levels.
Advisor Development Program (ADP) Journey:

As a Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA), you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship designed to guide you on your path to becoming a successful independent financial advisor. You will engage with both affluent and high-net-worth clients, identifying their needs, nurturing relationships, assessing investment goals, and preparing tailored investment recommendations. This role will equip you with the relationship management skills essential for thriving in an Elite Growth Practice (EGP).

  • Providing training and personalized mentorship from managers dedicated to your success, along with enrollment in our Academy to foster your development as an advisor.
  • Facilitating connections to grow your network and business, starting from a Merrill branch and interacting with financial advisors and high-net-worth clients.

Required Qualifications:
  • Possession of Series 7 and 65 (or 66) licenses.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in the financial services industry or a sales environment with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • At least one year of experience in the investment sector, with comprehensive knowledge of investment products and services.
  • A self-starter with effective time management skills.

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field.
  • Additional professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) are advantageous.
