Role Summary:
As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in welcoming patients and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring the efficient operation of front desk activities. Your friendly and professional presence will help foster a supportive and inviting atmosphere for everyone who visits our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Reception: Warmly greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival, providing a reassuring presence.
- Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm patient appointments while maintaining an organized calendar.
- Registration and Check-In: Accurately register new patients, verify insurance details, and facilitate the check-in process.
- Communication: Manage phone calls and emails, addressing inquiries and providing information clearly and effectively.
- Payment Handling: Collect patient co-pays and fees, processing payments in accordance with facility policies.
- Records Maintenance: Ensure patient records are kept confidential and comply with healthcare regulations.
- Patient Support: Assist patients in completing necessary documentation and guide them through the facility.
- Workspace Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior experience in a front desk or customer service position.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Proficient in office software and electronic health records systems.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
