Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement daily operations for the nursing department, including budget management and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, residents, and family members to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
  • Implement new procedures and training programs to enhance nursing staff skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee departmental budgets and make informed decisions to optimize resource utilization.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in long-term care.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
  • Familiarity with medical software and equipment, including PointClickCare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to navigate complex healthcare environments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage range of $45-$51.
