About the Role

The YMCA of San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Site Director to lead the supervision, operation, development, and implementation of dynamic out of school time programs for students at MLK Jr. Academic Middle School. As a key member of the Bayview YMCA team, the Site Director will build and maintain strong relationships with and among youth, families, staff, partner organizations, and community members of the Bayview Hunters Point District.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality youth development programs
  • Develop and implement program plans, budgets, and evaluations to ensure program effectiveness
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, and local government agencies
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver programs
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Collaborate with the Beacon Director to develop and implement strategic plans for the Bayview YMCA

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • 3 years or more working with youth in an organized setting and 2 or more years of proven staff development, supervision, and training
  • Passion for social justice and knowledge of the Bayview Hunters Point community, its residents, and a desire to make a difference
  • A commitment to providing young people with the highest-quality youth development experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-project/multi-task oriented, including experience scheduling and coordinating multiple fun and education-focused activities for youth
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with youth, adults, parents, staff, teachers, administration, the Y, and community members
  • Must be a talented multi-tasker and an independent worker who is adept at working on a team, thrives in a start-up environment, and maintains a flexible and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years or more working with youth in an organized setting and 3 or more years of proven staff development, supervision, and training
  • Master's Degree in related field or equivalent
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Cantonese, Tagalog
