Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with a focus on welding and bonding techniques to become a pivotal member of our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team. This role is crucial for the development, optimization, and scaling of manufacturing processes for our multi-day battery technology.

Key Responsibilities:
As a specialist in joining processes, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the enhancement of welding and adhesive bonding processes for innovative battery manufacturing.
  • Collaborating with equipment teams to design and implement unique manufacturing setups.
  • Working alongside product design, R&D, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to align product specifications with manufacturing requirements.
  • Creating novel testing methodologies to assess product performance during production.
  • Providing analytical feedback to simplify product designs for improved manufacturability.
  • Conducting process capability studies and utilizing statistical tools for process optimization.
  • Identifying root causes of manufacturing challenges and implementing corrective measures.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation for process specifications and quality assurance.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, particularly in process or manufacturing engineering.
  • Hands-on expertise in welding and joining processes.
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools for process decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
