Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting various human resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and training and development.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop and maintain job descriptions and specifications.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager inquiries and concerns.
- Promote a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee recognition programs.
- Support managers in conducting performance evaluations and setting performance goals.
- Assist in developing performance improvement plans and providing coaching and feedback.
- Assist with the corrective disciplinary action process, provide guidance to both managers and employees.
- Monitor and track employee performance and development plans.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
- Coordinate open enrollment and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist with pay & timekeeping questions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee training programs.
- Support professional development initiatives and career pathing.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug testing.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
