Position: Retail Sales Consultant

Role Summary:

The Retail Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering personalized service tailored to our customers' needs. Our team members foster authentic connections and loyalty with clients, assisting them in curating a complete wardrobe. This position demands a high level of customer service expertise, product knowledge, and effective selling techniques. Additionally, the consultant is responsible for maintaining the store's visual presentation and merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance: Achieve individual and team sales targets while enhancing productivity.
  • Customer Engagement: Welcome customers warmly and engage them effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate customer loyalty through genuine interactions.
  • Outreach Initiatives: Participate in company-led efforts to attract new customers and encourage repeat visits.
  • Wardrobe Consultation: Assist customers in selecting outfits that enhance their appearance.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about J.Jill's offerings, including styles, fabrics, and care instructions.
  • Visual Merchandising: Support the execution of floor sets and ongoing store merchandising.
  • Operational Support: Engage in various operational tasks, including marketing, inventory management, and store upkeep.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a retail setting, preferably in women's specialty retail.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and technology.
  • Community connections are a plus.
  • A passion for fashion and a strong affinity for the J.Jill brand.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated sales acumen and customer service proficiency.
  • Strong sense of style and merchandising abilities.
