Job Overview

BHS Corrugated & Robotics is seeking a meticulous and systematic Mechanical Field Service Scheduler to enhance our service operations. This role is crucial in ensuring our technicians are effectively scheduled and that our clients receive exceptional service.

Position Summary: As a Mechanical Field Service Scheduler, you will oversee the scheduling and organization of our Mechanical Field Service Technicians (FSTs). Your responsibilities will include engaging with clients, preparing service requests, and guaranteeing that each assignment is primed for success. If you thrive in a dynamic setting and possess strong organizational skills, this position is ideal for you.

Key Duties:

  1. Optimized Scheduling: Allocate Mechanical FSTs based on client requirements, as communicated through various channels. Collaborate closely with the FS Coordinator Assistant to manage administrative responsibilities such as quotes, purchase orders, timesheets, and service documentation.
  2. Thorough Documentation: Keep detailed records for each service request, ensuring all data is up-to-date and precise.
  3. Resource Management: Ensure that technicians are equipped with all necessary tools, software, and support to execute their tasks efficiently.
  4. Adaptability: Respond to swift changes in scheduling to maintain technician availability and balance their work-life needs in line with business demands.
  5. Process Enhancement: Evaluate scheduling and operational workflows to identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies to boost efficiency.
  6. Client Engagement: Address client inquiries, including scheduling, urgent modifications, and rescheduling to fulfill their requirements and deliver superior service.
  7. Conflict Resolution: Tackle scheduling conflicts swiftly and effectively. Notify clients of any urgent cancellations and adjust schedules accordingly.
  8. Effective Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with the Electrical Field Service Supervisor to report on client escalations and technician issues.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least three years in Maintenance Scheduling/Planning or as a Field Service Dispatcher.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer Focus: Dedication to providing outstanding customer support.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and scheduling software.
  • Independence: Capability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail and accuracy in all tasks.
