Faculty Position in Educational Innovation and Excellence

The Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Miami School of Education and Human Development is seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team as an Assistant or Associate Professor. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative educational practices and excellence in teacher learning and development.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and mentor pre-service and in-service teachers in the Department's teacher education programs.
- Pursue external funding for research and professional development initiatives.
- Build and maintain community partnerships with schools and districts to support teacher learning and development.
- Conduct a substantive program of research in teacher learning and development, with a focus on equity and inclusion.
- Mentor doctoral students and contribute to the Department's research and teaching mission.
- PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, Teacher Education, Literacy/Reading Education, Special Education, STEM Education, or a related field of education.
- Demonstrated success in securing external funding for research and professional development initiatives.
- Experience in supporting teachers to meet the educational needs of linguistically and culturally diverse students.
- Advocacy for and/or work with communities historically underserved and marginalized by educational policies and practices.
- Ability to mentor doctoral students with a range of research interests and career objectives.
- Relevant experience working in elementary and secondary schools.
- Strong interest in program development, including degree programs and community- and school district-based partnerships.
