Advanced Practice Provider in Hepatology

We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a vital part of our Hepatology division at Indiana University Health. This role offers a unique chance to engage in a dynamic teaching environment within a well-established and successful division.

Position Overview:

  • Full-time, Day Shift options available
    • Flexible scheduling with choices of 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts
    • No weekend, night, holiday, or on-call duties
  • Workload distribution: 40% outpatient, 60% inpatient
  • No procedural responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of 10 physicians and 2 advanced providers, including 6 APPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with inpatient liver consult PAs at various hospital locations, providing both in-person and virtual consultations.
  • Manage follow-up care for patients discharged from inpatient services, while also addressing urgent new outpatient liver consultations.
  • Function autonomously while receiving support to maximize your professional capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree mandatory
  • Certification as PA, FNP, or ACNP mandatory
  • Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana
  • Open to motivated new graduates with a keen interest in Gastroenterology/Hepatology
  • Prior experience in GI, Hospitalist, or inpatient specialties preferred but not essential
