Overview:


Assist the Controller in overseeing the financial operations of the hotel, protecting assets, and preparing all financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and HEI Hotels and Resorts standards.


Responsibilities:
1. Verify the accuracy of Night Audit work, focusing on receivables, including the reconciliation of banquet check extensions and coding of banquets at cost.
2. Document department administration phone calls and notify the Controller of any potential issues.
3. Record city ledger payments in the property management system, reconcile and bill all city ledger accounts, and follow up on billing and credit collection documentation.
4. Reconcile credit card documentation with the General Cashier Summary and report any discrepancies to the Controller.
5. Set up new accounts following established credit policies and assist in reconciling open account status items.
6. Maintain accurate logs for all credit card transactions and manage the filing of credit card cancellations and bulletins.
7. Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures, including validating purchase order prices and quantities against invoices.
8. Route invoices for approval and ensure timely processing of all approved invoices for payment.
9. Address vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements, maintaining organized files for open and paid invoices.
10. Submit a log of all manual checks to the Controller and adhere to attendance policies while being available for regular work hours.
11. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay Rate:
$27 Hourly rate

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Experience in accounting and the hospitality industry is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to compile and analyze financial data.
- Proficient in using personal computers and calculators.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style for various audiences.
