About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative Senior to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients and customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make outbound calls to schedule appointments for medical services
  • Schedule appointments in our practice management system, adhering to triage guidelines, scheduling protocols, and patient preferences
  • Make outbound calls to eligible patients to recommend next best actions or cross-promotional opportunities
  • Listen to patient concerns and provide recommendations based on guidelines
  • Call patients who are at risk for not showing up with appointment reminders
  • Document all caller information in our customer relations management tool
  • Communicate with physician office staff on patient concerns, requests, and scheduling changes
  • Ensure all actions comply with relevant guidelines protecting personal and health information
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Computer proficiency, including solid keyboarding skills and experience with scheduling and/or electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience in a call center environment
  • Experience in the healthcare industry or medical office
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and medical insurance requirements
