Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Document Preparation Specialist to join our team. As an essential member of our staff augmentation company, you will play a critical role in providing professional document preparation services to our clients across the nation.
About the JobThe selected candidate will be responsible for examining voluminous amounts of documents relevant to pending litigation and ongoing investigations, assessing the relevance or responsiveness of legal data with knowledge of the facts of the case and how they apply to the law. You will examine documents in multiple forms, including paper and electronic documents, and perform page-by-page review and analysis of documents and evidence.
You will organize the information using manual files and keep an electronic database for final legal review, creating discovery listings, privilege logs, and redaction logs as needed. Additionally, you will perform later-stage document review, seeking to determine if the document is privileged as the basis of client/attorney communication or a work product, possibly editing or redacting the content of the information.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. If you possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal communication, and dealing with people, and have a good understanding of legal terminology and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Office Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least one year of general experience in a legal setting in clerical, office, or other related work indicating the ability to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills
- Certificate or Associates Degree in office administration, paralegal studies, or a related field
- Knowledge of legal terminology and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to conduct legal research using digital platforms providing case law, statutes, regulations, and legal analysis tools
- Ability to review and analyze data and information from multiple sources
This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as required. The contractor may be required to travel from time to time during the course of this contract performance. Clearance Level Required: Must be able to pass a Federal Background check.
