Position Overview: Ostomy and Wound Care Registered Nurse

Full-Time Opportunity - Daytime Hours

Become a vital member of our healthcare team at Swedish Health Services, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients. As an Ostomy and Wound Care Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for individuals with ostomies and compromised skin integrity. Your specialized knowledge in the management of intricate wounds and ostomies will be essential for our patients and their families.

  • Deliver education and guidance for patients preparing for ostomy procedures
  • Serve as a consultant in the care of patients with compromised skin integrity
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and case management to ensure holistic patient care
  • Engage in monitoring and evaluating productivity metrics
  • Act as a resource for education and clinical mentorship

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse License in Washington State
  • Current BLS certification from a recognized provider
  • WOCN certification to be obtained within two years of employment
  • Experience in the management of both simple and complex wounds and ostomies

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Board certification from the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society
