We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wound Ostomy Nurse Specialist to join our team at Providence. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with ostomies, wounds, and altered skin integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with ileostomies, colostomies, and urinary diversions.
- Provide education and consultation to patients and their families on ostomy care and management.
- Consult with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with altered skin integrity.
- Collaborate with staff nurses and case management staff to ensure seamless discharge planning and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize care delivery.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- WOCN certification within 2 years of hire.
- Experience managing simple and complex wounds and ostomies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- Board certification by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) upon hire.
