Job Summary:


SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to provide direct customer support on a critical development effort. The successful candidate will support various aspects of the project life cycle, including review of vendor designs, development of network architecture concepts, and validation of network security requirements.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Review vendor designs at all phases, including design concepts, preliminary designs, and detailed designs
  • Develop network architecture concepts and design requirements
  • Validate network security requirements throughout design and coordinate required documentation with stakeholders
  • Communicate requirements to vendors and assess designs against requirements
  • Directly report to multiple customer stakeholders on project status, risks, and opportunities
  • Assist in the development of project review briefings for presentation at an executive level
  • Provide timely and precise communication to customer and contractor stakeholders for effective collaboration in the execution of the project
  • Act as a self-starter who identifies problems and seeks out solutions without detailed guidance
  • Represent the customer during witnessing of key test events

Qualifications:



  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of nine years of relevant network engineering experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with either Cisco or Juniper
  • Experience with the design and architecture of networks
