About the Role:

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented individual to fill the role of a Senior Service Desk Technician to support the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). The successful candidate will ensure reliable support and access to the DCAA's network equipment, email systems, and shared drives and databases for DCAA employees to successfully carry out their mission to the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot computer problems and perform hardware and software diagnostics
  • Coordinate needed repairs and resolve computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network
  • Participate in the evaluation of system configuration and software
  • Respond to and diagnose problems through discussion with users
  • Ensure a timely process through which problems are controlled, including problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps
  • Supervise operation of help desk and serve as focal point for customer concerns
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues, including technical problems and software installation
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems, and provide second-tier support to end users for PC, server, or mainframe applications or hardware
  • Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem
  • Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties
  • Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of directly related experience supporting help desk Tier 1, Tier 2, and/or Tier 3 operations, preferably supporting a large-scale government customer
  • Experience working with SkyePoint on the DCAA contract in a Service Desk Technician role
  • Must be in the Washington, DC area to attend meetings when needed
  • Experience providing technical support for hardware, networks, account administration, and office automation software via telephone, as appropriate
  • Experience recommending systems modifications to reduce user issues
  • Demonstrated knowledge of deploying computer hardware and software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of help desk ticketing systems desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows 10, 7, Active Directory, Network Basics, VPN Basics, and Mobile Device Basics
  • One of the below IAT Level I baseline certifications: A CE, CCNA-Security, CND Network CE, SSCP
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
