Job Overview

GeoSearch is seeking a highly skilled Senior Survey Project Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional surveying services to clients across various sectors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing project schedules, managing staff, and collaborating with civil engineers, landscape architects, and other land surveyors to drive commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of surveying practices, mathematics, and engineering principles to supervise drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Develop and implement project work plans, staffing requirements, and budgets to meet client objectives.
  • Lead the creation of proposals, project schedules, and staffing plans to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project timelines, workflow, and quality control processes to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide expert QA/QC and peer review of surveys to maintain the highest standards.
  • Oversee a range of surveying projects, including control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, construction, and other specialized surveys.
  • Ensure adherence to CAD standards for employees, subcontractors, and field crews.
  • Collaborate with other departments to orchestrate large, multi-discipline projects, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project support staff, including PMs, to drive project success.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, including financial objectives, to ensure project profitability and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Professional Land Surveyor license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain license).
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Survey, Geomatics, GIS, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of related office experience in Surveying, with progressive responsibility.
  • Experience with contracts, negotiations, budgets, and estimating.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and support staff for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of surveying fundamentals, principles, and equipment operations.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient with GEOPAK, MicroStation, and OpenRoads.
  • Experience with LiDAR capabilities, including 3D laser scanning and point cloud registration.
