Cloud Systems Engineer

At BAE Systems USA, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of systems hosted on the AWS cloud for a program that delivers security and network services across multiple classification levels in the customer's environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure AWS services such as Network Firewalls, VPCs, EC2, etc.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts and software configuration scripts
- Implement Zero Trust Architecture features across the cloud
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluating alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems
- Evaluate total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives
- Work with the customer to understand and validate requirements
- Support the security team to test and authorize the system for an enterprise Authority to Operate (ATO)
- Perform lifecycle management on Software and Hardware
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or equivalent
- DoD IAT/IAM level 2 cert
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Solution Architect Professional, or equivalent
- Experience working in an Agile or DevSecOps team
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
