Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Capture and Business Development Director to join our team at Concept Plus. As a key member of our Business Development team, you will play a critical role in driving growth and capturing new business opportunities for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for the DHS account in collaboration with the P&L Director for that sector.
  • Support the capture of new and organic growth opportunities across DHS, as well as recompetes.
  • Develop key client relationships across DHS, creating formal networks with key decision makers and serving as an external spokesperson for the organization.
  • Develop a proficient understanding of CP's service offerings.
  • Contribute to the growth of the company through capture and proposal writing.
  • Lead and control meetings, bringing groups of diverse personalities to consensus.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work within sales cycles and generate business opportunities, managing the opportunity lifecycle from end to end.
  • Work collaboratively with other functional areas, such as recruiting and contracts, to complete capture tasks.
Capture Expectations
  • Identify, pursue, and capture opportunities based on annual targets.
  • Drive and lead capture efforts across the DHS Account, including DHS HQ, CISA, USCIS, and TSA.
  • Assist in leading strategic business development activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive growth plans.
Primary Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10+ years of professional work experience, including 3+ years of capture experience. Prefer 3+ years of DHS capture experience.
  • Demonstrate a successful history of winning new work, including capturing large, complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Experience with capture and leading a proposal response.
  • Proficiency with proposal writing.
  • Multiple senior-level relationships across the DHS Account, including industry and government.
  • Proven analytical abilities, with the ability to draw insight from findings and understand customer business issues.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment across multiple business units.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Leadership and management abilities to oversee and ensure CP processes are followed, with a passion to help drive success of team members and clients.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on commitments.
  • Strong process and planning skills, goal-oriented, task-driven, and enjoys being part of a high-performing team.
  • Experience presenting results of work efforts to client or company management strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing existing accounts and penetrating new accounts.
