Job Description

As a key member of the OAG team, the Government Contracts Director will play a critical role in directing and managing the operations of the Government Contracts in the Child Support Division. This position requires a strong understanding of public administration principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs, plans, and organizes all activities of the Government Contracts Section.
  • Provides direction, guidance, and assistance to staff in program area; manages, prepares, and approves staff assignments and work schedules to accomplish goals, objectives, and tasks for management of contracts with county governments.
  • Develops contract management objectives consistent with management direction; develops contract performance standards; evaluates operations; monitors and reports contract performance and compliance.
  • Represents the Government Contracts section on inter and intra organizational workgroups, task forces, and special projects; serves as agency point of contact for local, state, or federal agencies as it pertains to Government Contracts.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: Child Support Program, government administration, information systems, or public administration.
  • 11 years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: Child Support Program, government administration, information systems, or public administration, with two of the years' experience required to be in management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of county government operations.
  • CTCM Certification.
