Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a dedicated Neonatologist to join our esteemed group. The position is located within a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that accommodates 15 beds, providing specialized care for premature infants from 22 weeks gestation and beyond. Our NICU is equipped with advanced technologies including bubble CPAP, conventional and high-frequency ventilators, and nitric oxide therapy, complemented by subspecialty services in pediatric surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, genetics, neurology, and infectious diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight for high-risk deliveries and manage both preterm and full-term newborns.
  • Supervise and mentor interns and residents, participating in hospital and departmental committees focused on clinical excellence, quality improvement, and resident education.
  • Oversee residents' clinical performance, leading bedside discussions and delivering formal lectures.
  • Diagnose and manage patients within the Neonatal ICU at Harlem Hospital, a designated Level III NICU.
  • Participate in a call schedule of 80 hours over a two-week cycle, averaging 40 hours per week, including day, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neonatology.
