POSITION OVERVIEW
Role: Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Critical Care
Location: New York, NY
Contract Type: 1099 Locums Contract
This position requires a full-time Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatric Critical Care. Candidates with a Family Nurse Practitioner background and Pediatric Critical Care experience are also welcome to apply.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Flexibility to work either day or night shifts, including one weekend per month.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active New York State License is mandatory.
- COVID and Flu vaccinations are required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role encompasses various responsibilities including:
- Patient assessment and critical care planning.
- Prescriptive orders and care coordination.
- Emergency management and documentation using Epic.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Coverage setting: Pediatric critical care unit
• Shift requirements: 6-13 shifts per month, with varying hours (7am - 7:30pm and 7pm - 7:30am, including a 30-minute lunch break)
• Patient capacity: 14-bed critical care unit
• Electronic Medical Record system: Epic
• Required certifications: National NP Board certification, BCLS, PALS, and NYS RN and NP licenses.
