Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Tact Staff. As a NICU RN, you will be responsible for providing critical care to premature and sick newborns, utilizing the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate all care provided to assigned patients
  • Ensure a newborn's critical care treatment is secure and effective
  • Deliver care based on established standards of care and practices
  • Diagnose and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems
  • Supervise patient care provided by licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Assess the immediate and continuing care needs of patients and parents
  • Provide respiratory care support, including ventilator management and oxygen saturation monitoring
  • Feed NICU patients via bottle, nasogastric tubes, or IV
  • Set up IV pumps and maintain feeding rates
  • Measure abdominal girth and check for stools for blood
  • Start IVs and draw blood as needed
  • Assess IV and draw sites for skin breakdown and skin damage
  • Work with physicians and upper-level nursing to develop and assist with treatment and examination of patients
Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience in emergency or critical care setting
  • 1+ year of experience in pediatric setting

NIGHTS 8P-830A - 3 DAYS PER WEEK AND EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED
