**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Supervise and direct the work activities of housekeeping staff to ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean, orderly, and attractive.
  • Maintain liaison with maintenance staff to ensure that all facilities and equipment are in good working order.
  • Implement and maintain departmental cleaning quality standards and procedures.
  • Assign rooms to be cleaned to housekeeping staff daily.
  • Inspect all rooms and common areas to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the department and work activities of assigned personnel.
  • Confer and cooperate with other property personnel to resolve operating problems and ensure coordination of property activities.
  • Interview and recommend new personnel as needed.
  • Implement training programs for all assigned personnel and ensure ongoing training is provided.
  • Initiate and recommend personnel actions, including employee counseling sessions, reprimands, performance appraisals, and terminations.
  • Report significant results, problems, and personnel actions to the General Manager.
  • Conduct department meetings for all personnel.
  • Conduct a period-ending inventory of supplies and linen.
  • Complete purchase requests and submit to the General Manager for approval.
  • Place orders with vendors for approved purchases.
  • Check and record pertinent comments into the front desk log.
  • Execute other associated responsibilities as directed by the General Manager.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality management role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
