Job Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from placement of purchase orders to customer acceptance, with the potential to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate project plans to ensure successful project completion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all aspects of operations, including engineering, sales, and customers, ensuring close communication and coordination regarding project status and milestones.
  • Work with purchasing to ensure timely ordering of long-lead items in support of project schedules.
  • Document and communicate project status, obstacles, and resolutions to management, demonstrating the ability to listen, persuade, and achieve win-win negotiation results with company functional groups.
  • Utilize traditional project management skills, such as organizing and planning projects, establishing goals, monitoring performance, assessing risks, and anticipating and efficiently resolving problems.
  • Develop and facilitate business processes to achieve project goals.
  • Basic understanding of data centers and manufacturing supply chains is a plus, as is accreditation from recognized project management organizations such as PMI.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and optimistic attitude, team orientation, and good leadership skills, including empathy and motivating cross-functional team members to common goals.
  • Good organizational skills and capable of independent work, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and determine priorities effectively.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality, with the ability to work on-site.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least five (5) years of experience in manufacturing and/or oil & gas industries, with experience in project management or management of significant business processes desired. Experience in the data centers industry is a plus. Computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc., are required. Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.

BS in engineering, business, or equivalent experience, with PMP certification and training a plus.
