Job Title: Project Management Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Manager to join our team at Kelvion Products Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of projects department, ensuring timely completion of projects, and providing managerial oversight to multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct the work of Project Managers, providing managerial oversight to multiple projects.
  • Monitor project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables.
  • Develop and coordinate carefully designed and approved action plans to successfully complete projects.
  • Plan and allocate resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep executive staff informed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all aspects of Operations activities, including Engineering, Sales, and the Customer, ensuring close communication and coordination regarding project status and milestones.
  • Document and communicate project status, obstacles, and resolutions to management.
  • Ability to listen, persuade, and achieve win-win negotiation results with Company functional groups.
  • Traditional project management skills, such as organizing and planning projects, establishing goals, monitoring performance, assessing risks, and anticipating and efficiently resolving problems.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating business processes to achieve project goals.
  • Understanding and knowledge of data centers.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and optimistic attitude, team orientation, good leadership skills, empathy, and motivating cross-functional team members to common goals.
  • Good organizational skills and capable of independent work, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and appropriately determining priorities.
  • Prepare project schedules and expedite workflow within the Projects department.
  • Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, and ability to work on-site.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, work in a fast-paced environment, and interchange with others in the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Ability to supervise up to 10 non-exempt/exempt employees, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Kelvion's policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Directing employees' work, setting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of work, planning and controlling the budget for the department, providing for the safety of employees, planning the work, determining the techniques to be used, and apportioning the work among the workers.

Personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Experience with Microsoft Project.

BS in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience. PMP certification required. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a project management role. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a serial manufacturing environment. Advanced understanding of manufacturing supply chains is preferred.

Language skills: ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning ability: ability to solve practical problems, deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel required up to 10% of time.

Employee will be working in an office environment. May have occasion to be in manufacturing area, which has moving mechanical equipment, hazards associated with welding, airborne mists and particles, chemicals, and loud shop noises.
