Position: Housekeeper (Per Diem):
Less than 22.5 hours per week

Compensation:
$16.20 / Hourly

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain cleanliness of all apartments according to established policies and schedules.
2. Sanitize common areas, guest rooms, assisted living spaces, health centers, and other designated areas.

3. Perform tasks such as vacuuming drapes and furniture, defrosting and cleaning refrigerators/freezers, washing windows, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, spot cleaning carpets, and tidying kitchen areas.

4. Adhere to specific cleaning instructions provided by residents.
5. Ensure cleanliness of hallways, laundry rooms, and trash disposal areas on assigned floors.
6. Maintain cleanliness in exercise rooms, office spaces, and restrooms.
7. Attend all relevant staff meetings and departmental training sessions.
8. Respond promptly to housekeeping emergencies.
9. Execute special cleaning tasks for apartment turnovers.
10. Report any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor.
11. Wear the designated departmental uniform consistently.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent, or a willingness to learn necessary procedures.
- Preferred six months of experience in environmental services, ideally within a healthcare environment.
- Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public.
- This role may require direct care or access to resident property or belongings.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR OTHERS:
The employee does not have direct responsibility for others but may assist in training new staff members.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be thoroughly familiar with all safety policies and procedures of Episcopal SeniorLife Communities.

Actively participates in all fire drills during shifts and/or emergencies for internal and external disasters as monitored by the supervisor and incident manager.

Must comply with facility in-service training requirements.
