Housekeeping Position - Per Diem:
less than 22.5 hours

Compensation:
$16.20 / Hourly

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain cleanliness of all living spaces according to established policies and schedules.
Ensure the upkeep of common areas, guest rooms, assisted living spaces, health centers, and other designated areas.

Tasks include vacuuming drapes and furniture, defrosting and cleaning refrigerators/freezers, washing windows, changing linens, making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, spot cleaning carpets, and tidying kitchen areas.

Adhere to specific instructions provided by residents.
Clean hallways, laundry facilities, and waste disposal areas on assigned floors. Attend to exercise rooms, office spaces, and restrooms.
Assist with cleaning assisted living apartments as required.
Participate in all staff meetings and departmental training sessions.
Respond promptly to housekeeping emergencies.
Execute special cleaning tasks for apartment turnovers.
Report any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Wear the designated departmental uniform consistently.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a willingness to learn necessary procedures for the role.
Preferred candidates will have at least six months of experience in environmental services, ideally within a healthcare environment.
Must demonstrate courteous and tactful interaction with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public.
This role may require direct care responsibilities or access to resident property.

This role does not involve direct responsibility for others, although assistance in training new staff may be required.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be thoroughly familiar with all safety policies and procedures of Episcopal SeniorLife Communities.

Actively participate in all fire drills and emergency procedures for both internal and external disasters as directed by the supervisor and incident manager.

Compliance with facility in-service requirements is mandatory.
