Job Title: Transmission Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Systems Engineer to join our team at PacifiCorp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating complex transmission systems to support our company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced transmission systems, including planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance.
  • Develop highly complex engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and drafters in the work group.
  • Recommend alternative engineering solutions to management to meet business needs.
  • Maintain project timelines and budgets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical).
  • A minimum of five or more years' experience in industrial power systems or electric utility power systems.
  • Advanced technical degree or professional engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of principles in area of engineering specialty.
  • Project management and leadership skills, including the ability to work as a team member, maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver on commitments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Advanced degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical with emphasis on power.
  • Advanced knowledge in PLS CADD, Lpile, and MFAD design software.
