Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a qualified Sales Representative to work as an ambassador and be responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers based on their assigned territory to build trust and act as support for prospects, ensuring they lead to potential future sales.

The Arizona Correctional Industries (ACI) team offers an exciting and rewarding work experience with great earning potential and the stability of working for a state agency with exceptional benefits. This position has an opportunity of receiving a competitive salary plus a monthly sales incentive. A PROJECTED FIRST-YEAR INCOME COULD REACH BETWEEN $50K AND $70K.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages all elements of the customer experience, from effective qualifying, design, quoting, delivery, installation, and order writing process, while effectively interfacing with respective internal departments (at ACI Central and outlying ACI facilities)
  • Grows sales and territory via frequent communication and face-to-face meetings with customers and prospects at their place of business, including cold calls within assigned territory
  • Travels around the state to various locations to include; school districts, construction sites, private sector businesses, state agencies, and municipalities, to grow customer base and secure contracts
  • Administrative work
  • Manages appointments and daily schedule, including customer calls and appointment setting, advance planning and necessary follow-up
  • Maintains accurate detailed customer information and records including contact information, meeting notes, future projects, and correspondence in ACI customer relationship management software
  • Oversees respective paperwork including pricing, quotes, distribution of collateral
  • Adheres to and comprehends department policies, procedures, and training
  • Attends staff meetings, trade shows, and conventions
  • Drives on State business to meet current and potential clients, trade shows, meetings, training and other events
  • Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of sales process, vendor and customer relationships, needs analysis, closing the sale
  • Management of multiple accounts in a large geographic territory
  • Building personal relationships with all customers and prospects
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Google applications
  • Current market trends
  • ADCRR policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum five (5) years, outside business-to-business sales experience in a professional environment
