Position Overview: Financial Analyst

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a Financial Analyst to join a leading global family entertainment and media enterprise.

Employment Type: Contract/Hybrid

Location: Burbank, CA

Compensation: $82-$85 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly financial closing processes, including journal entries, data uploads to SAP/COGNOS, and variance analysis.
  • Design and manage financial allocation models, ensuring effective communication with regional stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the collection of financial inputs from technology leaders and operational partners to enhance forecasting and closing accuracy.
  • Prepare and evaluate intricate budgets, financial plans, statements, and reports, identifying potential risks and opportunities while ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounting team to analyze variances and finalize closing entries.
  • Develop and deliver financial analyses tailored for Technology partners.
  • Contribute to the preparation of presentations for senior leadership review.
  • Participate in project teams aimed at advancing company initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Experience with SAP finance, particularly in allocation modeling.
  • Proficient in Excel with strong communication skills to engage with various internal stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A collaborative approach combined with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • A genuine interest in continuous learning and improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills in Excel, SAP, and COGNOS are advantageous.
