Position Overview: Financial Analyst

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join a prominent global family entertainment and media organization.

Employment Type: Contract/Hybrid

Location: Burbank, CA

Compensation: $82-$85 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including journal entries, data uploads to SAP/COGNOS, and variance analysis.
  • Design and manage allocation models while liaising with regional stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the collection of data from technology leaders and operational partners to support forecasting and closing activities.
  • Prepare and evaluate intricate budgets, financial plans, statements, and reports, identifying potential risks and opportunities while ensuring adherence to reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on variance analysis and closing entries.
  • Develop and deliver financial insights for Technology partners.
  • Contribute to presentations for senior leadership review.
  • Participate in project teams to support the company's strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Experience with SAP finance, particularly in allocation modeling.
  • Proficient in Excel with strong communication skills to engage with various internal stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also being self-sufficient.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills in Excel, SAP, and COGNOS are advantageous.
